Boston Golf Club exercises a practical approach to dress standards. Members and Visitors are asked to dress appropriately in accordance with normal accepted standards.
Shirts must have collars and sleeves and are not to be worn outside trousers or shorts.
Shoes worn on the course must be appropriate for golf. Trainers are not allowed.
The wearing of tailored shorts in hot weather is permitted providing these are either worn with plain knee length golf socks or predominantly white sports socks that come above the ankle.
Trousers should not be tucked into socks, the only exception being under waterproofs.
The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the course.
Sleeveless blouses must have collars. Round necked blouses must have sleeves. Blouses designed to be worn outside trousers and shorts are permitted.
Ladies are asked to be appropriately dressed for presentations if the are prize-winners.
Members, their guests and temporary members are asked to dress with a smart appearance appropriate for the Clubhouse. It is stressed that the following are deemed to be unacceptable: track suits, trainers, slashed/ripped jeans and the wearing of head wear.
The wearing of golf shoes in the clubhouse is prohibited.
The use of mobile phones in the clubhouse is not permitted. However, they may be used in the changing rooms.
Members/temporary members are requested to wear jackets and ties for all prize presentations made after 5. 00pm if they are prize winners.
