Welcome to the Junior section. We have juniors of all ages and standards both boys and girls. Most Juniors will come into contact with our excellent golf professional Nick Hiom who runs lessons for all levels on a Saturday morning. Nick is one of the premier coaches in Lincolnshire who has brought through many players representing at local and National level.
We have a number of individual competitions run throughout the season and a Lincolnshire team competition played in the summer holidays. All levels are welcome.
I would like to give a brief overview of what some of the junior members have achieved. Over the last 7 years a number of the juniors have performed to an exceptionally high standard both locally and Nationally. The first breakthrough came in 2010 when Billy Spooner. Sam Vince and Nicky Frost won the E.G.U Junior Champion Club of England. Thus making us National champions. Billy has gone on to represent England at U16 and U18 levels captaining the U18 school team. Billy has also finished second in the prestigious McGregor Trophy and winner of the Midland Boys Championship. Nicky has been the captain of the Lincolnshire U16’s golf team.
Both Billy Spooner and Jordan Wrisdale have since gone on to become professionals.
