Thursday 18th May
Joan Young and Ann Hodgson came 3rd in Kirton Holme's Betterball am/am with a score of 42 stableford points.
Tuesday 16th May
Some of our ladies took teams out of the county, playing in Kings Lynn am/am on Tuesday 16th. with Joan Young, Maureen Marshall, Yvonne Shaffarczyk and Jacquie Short winning 3rd prize with 88 pts.
Sunday 14th May
A betterball competition was held at Belton Park with Joan Young and Ruth Simpson coming in 5th with 41 stableford points.

Ted Eaglen Trophy
7th November 14 ladies played in hope of winning the Ted Eaglen Trophy an 18 hole stableford competition.
The winner and taking home the trophy was Jenny Geeson with a score of 34 stableford points pushing Hilary Calvert into 2nd place on a countback also 34 points. 3rd place Yvonne Shaffarczyk with a score of 32 points.
Jacquie Short won the two's competition on the 5th hole.

Ladies and 11 o´clockers Texas Scramble - 22nd October 2018
Wednesday 19th September
12 Ladies took part in the Boston Past Captain's trophy and Medal competition.
The winner was Pam Hyde with 89-18 =71 nett overall winner and lowest gross.
The runner up was Lady Captain Janet Read 103-26 =77 nett.
Third position going to Vice Captain Pam Clare 103-25 =78 nett.

Wednesday 5th Sept - The Marian Smith Trophy
"The Marian Smith Trophy" a medal competition was held with 14 ladies taking part, Lady Captain Janet Read was to triumph overall with a score of 71 nett. the runner up Jean Markham with 74 nett beat third placed Lady President Ann Hodgson on countback also 74 nett, there were 2 two's recorded, Fran Grant on the 2nd hole and Pam Hyde on the 14th.

Sunday 2nd September - Lady Captains Afternoon
Lady Captains Afternoon with fun on the agenda consisted of teams of Ladies and also teams of Gentleman and guests.
The winning team were Lady President Ann Hodgson, Barbara Unwin, Vice Captain Pam Clare and Liz Harris with 113 stableford points, in second place Ruth Simpson, Katie Price, Ann Gullick and Kay Kadzionis with a score of 105 points.
Nearest the pin for silver on the second hole was Pam Hyde and on the 14th Hole for bronze Chris Sherriff, nearest the line on the 17th hole Kathy Stanley, nearest the 18th in 2 Ruth Simpson.
The nine hole competition was won by Gill Reynolds, Lady Captain Janet Read and Pat Clifton, The Gents nearest the pin on the 5th Mr President Peter Pearson, nearest pin on the 18th Ed Markham.
Gents team winners Malcolm Hyde and Ed Markham 70 points with runners up Russ Delahoy and George Read 69 points.

Wednesday 29th August - Lady Captains Rose Bowl
Winning Lady Captains Rose Bowl a prestigious award towards the end of the season was on the mind of the Boston Ladies as they set out in perfect weather conditions and with Jacquie Short returning a score of 37 Stableford points she was to take home the trophy.
The runner up was Jean Markham with 35 points pushing Pam Hyde also 35 points to third position.

Ladies Pink Ball - 22nd August
Wednesday 24 ladies put on their pink outfits for the Breast Cancer unit at Pilgrim Hospital raising £158.00 Playing a fun game with the pink ball counting as double points.
A yearly event the course is brightened up with their pink attire especially noticeable this year was the flamingo (Hilary Calvert) seen in the photo she actually played 18 holes in the costume.
The winning team were Anne Wallhead, Hilary Calvert and Jennifer Geeson with a score of 111 stableford points second were Jean Markham Pam King and Kath Yates scoring 104 points.
Ladies Invitation Day - 19th August
The Ladies invitation day was held Sunday with guests being welcomed to an afternoon of golf and refreshments.
The winning pair were Barbara Unwin and guest Di Eddington with a score of 45 stableford points in second place Hilary Calvert with guest Cindy Ireland 43 points, The best front nine Ann Wallhead and guest Birdie Dawson, best back nine Ann Gullick with Chelsie Petty, nearest pins Anne Wallhead member, and Margaret White Guest. Bothamley Bowl - 15th August 2018
She has done it again! Anne Wallhead playing in a purple patch beat the field of 23 to win the Bothamley Bowl, playing off a new handicap from previous wins Anne won with 37 stableford points, which dropped her to a 16 handicap.

The runner up was Kathleen Yates returning a score of 34 points with Janet Read losing out on countback to take 3rd place also 34 points. Pam King she was also in the prizes coming 4th with 33 points.
Lady Presidents Afternoon - Sunday 5th August
Ann Hodgson held her "Lady President's" Afternoon.
A competition played as a singles stableford for the Presidents Salver over 18 holes, with prizes for all categories plus a nine hole stableford.
30 ladies played in the competition including three invited guests.
With a perfect day everyone set out in high hopes, enjoying welcome refreshments at the halfway house and a cold meat carvery plus a selection of sweets to look forward to after play.

Anne Wallhead the overall winner with 41 points.
Division 1 (silver ) 1st Ruth Simpson with 38 points, runner up Pam Hyde with 34 points.
Division 2 (bronze) 1st Kate Price with 32 points, runner up Barbara Unwin losing out on countback also 32 points.
Division3 (bronze) 1st Lady Captain Janet Read with 37 points, runner up Margaret Hardy with 33 points.
The nine hole competition was won by Jean Flynn with 12 points. runner up was Pat Clifton with 12 points.
Prizes were also awarded to Hilary Calvert best front nine and Jean Markham best back nine, Katie Price nearest pin on the 5th and Jean Markham nearest pin on the 14th. Jill Lamming won best guest.
Wednesday 1st August
On Wednesday it was the turn of Boston Ladies section with 7 Playing 27 holes for the title of "Ladies Club Champion" Prizes were awarded for best Nett and best Gross player and runners up.
Ruth Simpson playing off 9 went out in the morning with 41 front nine 45 back nine Gross 86, Nett 77 > her front 9 in the afternoon 41, gross 41, nett 37, gave her a Total Gross 127 to win her the Championship Trophy, Ruth also took second place with Total Nett 114.
Jacquie Short playing off 18 went out in the morning with 45 front nine 43 back nine, 88 Gross. Nett 70 > her front nine in the afternoon 45, Gross 45, Nett 36 Total Gross 133, Total Nett 106 was to win her best Nett. Winning the Ann Hodgson Vase for best Nett and taking second place for Total Gross 133.
The rest of the Ladies section held a Ladies TriAm with 5 teams of three playing a stableford competition with the best two scores counting on each hole,
The winning team were Chris Sherriff, Kathy Stanley, and Lynn Worthington with 84 stableford pts.
The runners up were Chris Needham, Pam Clare and Ann Gullick with 69 pts.
Thursday 26th July - Past Captains Competition
The Lincolnshire ladies Past club Captains competition was held on Thursday 26th July at Laceby Manor and Boston were represented by Ann Hodgson, Pam Hyde, Jean Markham (silver) and Pam King (bronze) playing in their individual divisions with full handicap stableford format, they also entered as a team with 3 of the best four scores counting.
The results were favourable for the Boston Four, Winning the Team Shield for Boston with 101 stableford points.
Pam King won the 70+ group with Lady President Ann Hodgson just missing out of winning the salver in the silver division on countback with 36 stableford points.
Wednesday 25th July - Suzanne Cooper Cup
Eight Pairs played in the Suzanne Cooper Cup ( A Foursomes Stroke Play (Medal) Competition Handicap allowance:-Half of combined handicaps.
Winning with 72 nett were Lady President Ann Hodgson and Pam King.
The runners up on countback were Lady Captain Janet Read with Hilary Calvert also 72 nett
third position went to Anne Wallhead and Kathleen Yates with 72.5 nett.

Wednesday 11th July
Boston held its Ping 4ball betterball competition with the winners from Boston going on to the final at Gainsborough at a later date,
The pairing of Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk were untouchable coming in with a score of 48 stableford points to take first place, 8 points clear of the runners up Margaret Hardy and Chris Needham on 40 points.
Monday 9th July
Boston Ladies were hosts for the league match against Woodhall Spa, the visitors winning all 4 games.
Friday 6th July
The Boston Ladies travelled to Sleaford for a mixed handicap friendly match a good result with the match being halved.
The Nora Royle Trophy - 2nd July
The Nora Royle Trophy is a medal competition which unfortunately narrowed down the field of ladies playing! with 12 ladies keen to take home the trophy it was Lady Captain "Janet Read" with her score of 98-26=72 nett,
the runner up with 97-25=72 nett just missing out on countback was Pam Clare, third position and lowest gross was Jacquie Short 92-18=74 nett.

Friday 29th June - Belton Park v Boston
The ladies league team travelled to Belton Park and had a disappointing result with the host club winning three of the four matches.
Lady Captains Exchange Day 26th June - Grimsby GC
Boston ladies took off to pastures new for the Lady Captains Away Day, Grimsby their destination with 26 players 6 teams of three and 2 teams of four their scores adjusted. Playing "The Grimsby Gallop" scoring stableford points with 3 players to count on par three's 2 players to count on par four's and 1 player on par five's.
The winning team were Jacquie Short, Mo Marshall, Jane Marriott and Kay Kadzionis with 69.5 points.
Runners up were Lady President " Ann Hodgson", Lady Captain "Janet Read" and Ann Gullick with 65 points.
Nearest the pin "bronze" Ann Gullick, no one reached the green for "Silver" a draw was held with Jean Markham the winner.
The day ended with Grimsby Golf Club serving delicious Haddock and Chips. I have also sent some pictures of the day via another e-mail hope you get them...
Wednesday 20th June - The June Frankish Trophy
The June Frankish Trophy, known as the granny trophy was well supported with 21 players in the field, a stableford format with a stableford competition running alongside for those not yet a grandmother.
The winner of the Trophy with 35 stableford points was Jean Markham, second place Pam Hyde 34 points, with Hilary Calvert missing out on a countback also 34 points.
The Stableford competition was won by Ann Gullick with 36 points.

Wednesday 13th June
Boston Ladies played the qualifying Australian Spoons a competition for all clubs with Lady Captain Janet Read and Barbara Unwin coming in with 30 stableford points, they will be representing Boston to play in the regional finals at Burghley Park at a later date, the runners up were Anne Wallhead and Hilary Calvert with 29 points.
Wednesday 23rd May
22 ladies played in the Wednesday competition, a stableford format for the Dunhill Island Trophy :- The winner was Jean Markham with 33 stableford points. The runner up with 31 points was Pam Hyde and in third position Ruth Simpson with 30 points. Hilary Calvert won the two's competition on the 5th Hole.
5 competitors played in the nine hole competition which was won by Sandra Sharpe with 15 stableford points.
Wednesday 16th May
Ruth Simpson showed her dominance winning the Ladies Dunhill Islands Trophy with 36 stableford points runner up was Kate Price with 32 points Kate also got a hole in one on the 14th. third position went to Pam King with 30 points.
Monday 14th May the ladies played their 1st League game of the season away at Woodhall Spa resulting in Boston losing 3 and 1 a disappointing result for the Boston Team
Out and About.
A Boston team of Ladies consisting of Ruth Simpson, Pam Hyde, Jean Markham and Lady President Ann Hodgson played in the Kings Lynn Am/Am finishing in third place overall.
Wednesday 9th May
Only a small field of players set out in the Coronation Foursomes a Competition set up in 1953 to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth! the format of alternative shots is no longer as popular these days with only six pairs taking part! The winning pair from each club going on to the regional final.
The winning pair to represent Boston is Pam Hyde and Chris Sherriff the runners up were Lady Captain Janet Read with Past Captain Kath Yates.

A team from Boston consisting of Yvonne Shaffarczyk, Jacquie Short, Ruth Simpson and Katie Price entered the Ladies Springtime AM/AM Waltz at Market Rasen coming in 3rd with 75 stableford points.
Thursday 26th April
Boston Ladies were visitors to Kenwick Park a friendly match, with Kenwick on top form winning all 4 games.
Wednesday 25th April.
Boston Ladies played a military two-step one then two scoring on consecutive holes, out in teams of three the winning team were Pam King, Ann Gullick and Jane Marriott with a stableford score of 52 points the runners up were Kay Kadzionis, Pam Hyde and Lynn Worthington with 50 points.
Friday 20th April - Boston Ladies played a friendly match at home against South Kyme resulting in the match being halved.
Sunday 22nd April - The Mixed Section played against Louth in a friendly match, with Boston hosts to the visitors, the result ended with the match halved.
18th April for the Coney Cup a stableford format.
The winner of the Coney Cup was Yvonne Shaffarczyk with a score of 34 Stableford points playing off 19.
The runner up with 32 points and also winner of the 2s competition was Fran Grant playing off 18.
Third position Ruth Simpson with 28 points playing off 9.

Wednesday the Annual breast Cancer Charity match between Lady Captains team and Lady Presidents team had to be cancelled due to the course being closed.

Ann Hodgson and Barbara Unwin played their Daily Mail Foursomes knockout at Boston against Woodhall Spa,This formidable pair won 5 and 4 taking them through to round three.
Wednesday 21st March
An 18 hole stableford competition for the Read Trophy.
The overall winner was Pam Bett with a score of 33 stableford points winning on a countback with 17 on the back nine from Jenny Geeson 2nd place also 33 points with a back nine of 16, third position going to Anne Wallhead with 31 stableford points.

Ladies Open Am Am - 15th March 2018
15 teams from around the county braved the miserable conditions for the Ladies first open AM/AM teams of 4 playing in the spring waltz.... A stableford competition, the scores reflecting the difficulty of the course.
Without doubt the ladies of Louth mastering the conditions taking home most of the prizes, the winners were K. Hicks, J. Barber, T. Yeomans and J. Walsh (Louth) with 68 points, second L. West, C. Craven, J. Atkinson, E. Ballard (Louth) with 66 points, third position J. Walmsley, S. Roberts, J. Hosking, F. Johnson, from Waltham Windmill with 64 points, fourth P. Shepherd, J. Moody, D. Jones, S, Tanby (Louth) with 62 points The best visiting team not in the main prizes were H. Fowler, M. Atkins, S. Woodhead and J. Smith with 59 points from Kirton Holme, Warm soup at the halfway house kept the spirits up and a hot carvery was a welcome end to the days proceedings.
Stand Aside Texas Scramble 14th March 2018
Wednesday14th an 18 hole stand aside Texas scramble was the format for the Ladies competition with the winning team, Ann Gullick, Anne Wallhead, Chris Sherriff and Jean Markham coming in with a score of 60.8, second were Jenny Geeson, Lynn Worthington and Marion Bavin with 70.4 their score adjusted as a three ball.
Skene Shield - 7th March
The Results of the Ladies Skene Shield Singles Par Competition today 7th March
The Ladies held their first 18 hole competition of the season playing for the Skene Shield, The Winner with plus 2 and playing off 19 was Anne Wallhead dropping her handicap to 18 in second place with minus 1 playing off 24 was Ann Gullick and third position Jacquie Short minus 4 playing off 17.
The twos competition was won by Lady President Ann Hodgson, (a good day for the three Ann's)
The shield was presented by Lady Captain Janet Read to Anne Wallhead.
Daily Mail Foursomes
Ann Hodgson and Barbara Unwin played against South Kyme in the Daily Mail Foursomes beating the South Kyme pair 6 and 5, the next match venue is yet to be decided.
Semi Final - Winter Knockout
Pam Hyde and Ruth Simpson played against Hilary Calvert and Anne Wallhead in the semi final of the winter knockout with Pam and Ruth going into the final against Lady Captain Janet Read and Ann Gullick.
The 10 hole competition was a three players pink ball stableford competition with the person playing the pink ball getting double points plus 1 other to score.
The winners were Pam King, Jean Markham and Jo Digby with 58 Stableford points.
second place were Hilary Calvert, Di Lincoln and Barbara Unwin with 46 stableford points.
A 10 hole reverse waltz was the competition played today with 3 teams of
three and one team of four ladies, 3, 2 and 1 scoring on each
consecutive hole which was adjusted for the four ball...... The winning
team with 36 stableford points were Barbara Unwin, Pam King and Jean
Markham, the four ball came second with 34 stableford points they were
Lady President Ann Hodgson, Pam Hyde, Jacquie Short and Fran Grant.
16 ladies set out playing a four ball pairs betterball, the winning pair with 17 stableford points were Yvonne Schaffarczyk and Jean Markham on a countback from the runners up Jane Marriott and Jenny Geeson also 17 pts. the holes were shortened to eight due to the adverse weather conditions..
The Ladies turned out in their Christmas outfits for a Christmas pudding ball competition a stableford format over 10 holes.
The winning team with 62 points were Anne Wallhead, Yvonne Schaffarczyk and Lynn Worthington, second place on a countback were Jacquie Short, Jane Marriott and Joan Young, also with 52 points was Pam Hyde and Lady Captain Janet Read with an adjustment as a two ball.
A bring and win meant Everyone going home with a prize, the ladies finished off the afternoon with mulled wine and minced pies.

20 Ladies entered the Christmas Turkey Trot a Stableford Competition held over 10 holes > Ann Gullick with a score of 25 stableford points won the Voucher with Joan Young in second place on 19 points and Barbara Unwin a close third with 18 points.

Thursday 9th November - Ladies Winter Waltz
19 teams of 4 from around the county entered the ladies open Winter Waltz with a warming mug of soup at the halfway house and a two course carvery to finish.
The winning team were Hilary Calvert, Ruth Simpson (Boston) and Cindy Ireland and Kate Hall-Jones (Woodhall) witha stableford score of 75 points.
Runners up were C. Harrison, G.Preston (Hunstanton) with M. Fox (Dereham) and G. Sly (Peterborough Milton) with 74 pts. on Countback B9 38.
Third position also 74 pts. (B9 34) were Pat West, Sally West (Spalding) with Fran Grant and Pam King(Boston)
Fourth prize also 74 pts. (B9 32) were Pam Shepherd, J. Moody, L. Elliott and P. Hales from Louth.
The prize for best visitor's team not in the main prizes with 73 pts. went to Clare Welfare, Jill

A winter am/am with teams of four with 2 counting on 16 holes and all four to count on the 9th and 18th.
The winning foursome were Pam Hyde, Pat Couture, Kay Kadzionis and Ann Gullick with 77 points. second with 69 points was Lady Captain Janet Read, Margaret Hardy, Pam Bett and Maureen Molson.
Tuesday 24th October 2017 - Away Match
A friendly match away against Kirton Holme ended with a disappointing result for Boston losing to the home team 3-1/2 to 1/2.
Wednesday 18th October 2017 - Reverse Waltz
There were 8 teams of three playing an 18 hole full handicap reverse waltz, the winning team consisting of Lady President Ann Hodgson, Jacquie Short and Anne Wallhead came in with a score of 63 stableford points in second place with 59 points were Di Lincoln, Jane Marriott and Joan Young and third position went to Maureen Molson, Ann Sutton and Liz Harris with 58 points.

12 pairs playing medal foursomes with half of their combined handicaps set out in windy but fairly warm conditions for the Suzanne Cooper Cup, The Winning pair and trophy winners were Yvonne Shaffarczyk and Barbara Unwin with 78.5 . second place with 79.5 were Lady President Ann Hodgson and Marion Bavin, third place with 81.5 Lady Captain Janet Read and Ann Gullick
Wednesday 4th October
saw The new Lady Captain Janet Read officiating her first match with 32 ladies x 8 teams in the friendly "Lady Captain versus Lady Vice Captain" a match Play competition always fun with each team doing their best for their team leader and this year Lady Vice Captain's team winning with 7/1/2 - 1/2 .
The day finished with tea and cakes and a lot of rivalry banter.
Daily Mail Foursomes - 18th September
Wednesday the Ladies of Boston held their Daily Mail Foursomes qualifier playing off half of their combined handicaps, the winning pair returning a score of 76 nett were Ann Hodgson and Barbara Unwin with Kath Yates and Ann Gullick runners up with 77.5 nett. The winners get the chance to go forward to the area final at a later date the venue is yet to be confirmed.

13th September- The Read Trophy
On Wednesday the Read Trophy given in memory of Kate Read was presented by her Grand daughter Ruth Street to Anne Wallhead who won the competition with 29 stableford points, conditions were unfavourable with high winds and showers to contend with.
the runner up was Kath Yates with 28 points and in third place Ann Hodgson with 27 points.
Out and about Monday 11th Sept.
Two of our Boston Players "Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk" won the Kenwick Park Pairs betterball open with a score of 42 stableford points 3 points ahead of the runners up Andrea Smaggasgale (Kenwick Park) and Jayne Crooks (Woodhall Spa) who returned a score of 39 pts.
Marion Smith Trophy 6th September
The Marian Smith Trophy a trophy presented to the winner of winners and runners up over the Year.
Stroke play full handicap, this years winner Pam Hyde 91-17=74 nett runner up Ruth Simpson 86-08=78 nett
Third place Ann Hodgson 100-19=81
Ruth Simpson won the twos Competition.
Ruth street won the nine hole Stableford with 10 pts.
Round and about September 5th
Playing in the South Kyme Am/Am the team from Boston, Kath Yates, Ann Gullick, Anne Sutton and Marion Bavin won with a brilliant score of 94 points. 32 teams from around the county took part.
Mixed Am Am 28th August
Bank Holiday Monday 32 members turned out for a mixed am/am The winning team combining Martin and Yvonne Shaffarczyk with Terry Rollinson and Ann Wallhead came in with 81 points 1 ahead of Dave and Anne Sutton with Ron and Barbara Unwin runners up with 80 points.
Wednesday 23rd August - Dunhill Island Salver
The Dunhill Island Salver a Stableford competition with 22 players competing, The winner was Ruth Simpson with 40 Stableford points, second Anne Wallhead with 33 points and third Pam Bett with 32 points. Ruth and Pam shared the 2s competition.
Monday 21st August
The L.L.C.G.A held their Autumn 2017 Silver and Bronze meeting at Boston, 52 silver players went out in the morning singles strokeplay being the format, 19 bronze players were to follow in the afternoon playing a singles stableford.
The Elsham Centenary Salver was presented for Best Gross > The winner was Anne Clark playing off 8 with 83 gross.
The Brocklesby Cup for best Nett was won by Ann Hodgson (Boston) with 74 nett.
The winner of the Coronation cup bronze stableford competition was Helen Heath with 31 Stableford points.
Sunday 20th August - Lady Captains Afternoon
Sunday 20th was Lady Captains afternoon, ladies set out in glorious sunshine hoping to win the Captains Rose Bowl, invited guests and some gentlemen were also taking part in this prestigious afternoon.
The stableford format was divided into 3 divisions, 1(Silver) 2 Bronze 3 Bronze
The Overall Winner of the afternoons competition was Ann Hodgson coming in with 36 Stableford points to take home the Lady Captains Rose Bowl.
In second place and winning the silver division was Pam Hyde with 35 points.
In Division 2 Bronze, Barbara Unwin returned 34 points, with Pam Clare runner up on 32 points.
Division 3 Bronze, Marion Bavin won with 28 points, The runner up Pam King came in with 26 points. winner of the nine hole competition was Jean Flynn.

Club Championship 16th August 2017
Wednesday the Ladies held their club championship as you can see with the attached photo still smiling after 36 holes the six ladies that were brave enough to enter the competition.
The Ladies Club Champion returning 87 and 88 a total of 175 Gross was Ruth Simpson playing off a handicap of 9 to win the Shirley Greswell Salver,
Pam Hyde playing off 17 with 90 and 98 a total of 188 gross won the Ann Hodgson Vase for best Nett.
A competition was held for those ladies not in the championship a Tri-am stableford with 2 to count on each hole the winning team were Ann Gullick, Ann Sutton and Barbara Unwin coming home with 73 Points.
second place went to Janet Read and Pam Bett a two ball with 65 points, with their hidden partner Margaret Hardy.

Lady Captains Away Day - 2nd August 2017
Wednesday Lady Captain Kath Yates and 20 ladies travelled to Greetham Valley for her away day,
6 teams of three playing a Tri-Am with 2 scoring on each hole and two ladies there to record the days event.
Though not too pleasant a day everyone enjoyed an entirely different course from their home Club playing the valley course the views were spectacular but being very hilly proved a testing round for many of the players.
The winning team with 63 stableford points on countback were Jean Markham, Jane Marriott and Ruth Street.
Second also 63 stableford points were Pam Hyde, Jacquie Short and Lynn Worthington.
Third place going to Ruth Simpson, Joan Young and Kay Kadzionis with 62 points.
The longest drive on the 12 hole went to Ruth Simpson,
Nearest pin on hole 3 Hilary Calvert and nearest pin on the 18th hole Joan Young.
the day was completed with a welcome meal and prize giving.

Lady Presidents Afternoon - Sunday 30th July
30 ladies turned out to play in Lady President's Afternoon, an 18 hole stableford competition with prizes for all divisions including a 9 hole competition.
The overall winner with 35 stableford points, was Ruth Simpson winning the Lady President's Tray on a countback.
Anne Wallhead claimed the prize for the silver division just missing out on countback from Ruth also 35 points.
Jean Markham with 30 points claimed second prize.

Ann Gullick winning with 27 stableford points
Pam Clare runner up also 27 points losing out on countback.

Pam King winning with 26 stableford points.

The Bothamley Bowl 26th July
The Bothamley Bowl was the trophy for the Wednesday stableford competition.
Winning with 32 stableford points was Yvonne Shaffarczyk on a countback from "Lady Captain Kath Yates in second place" and "Jacquie Short third" also returning 32 points.
The nine hole competition was won by Ruth Street with 14 stableford points, second Kay Kadzionis with 10 points.

Wednesday 12th July
7 teams of three played an eighteen hole stableford waltz.
The winners were :- Lynn Worthington, Barbara Leatherland, and Jane Marriott waltzing in with 61 stableford points.
Runners up Barbara Unwin, Ann Gullick and Pam Bett came in with 59 stableford points.
Monday 10th July
The ladies league team played their last match against Sleaford away, the home team winning 3 and 1. The result doesn't alter Boston being assured of going up to the third division.
Kath Bradley Winter Knock Out Trophy
The final off this competition saw Ruth Simpson and Pam Hyde play against Jean Markham and Pam King which took 28 holes to reach a conclusion. Ruth and Pam were the eventual winners.
Tuesday 4th July - Ladies Ping Qualifying Competition
The Ladies Ping Qualifying Competition An 18 hole Fourball Betterball pairs Stableford playing off 90% handicap with the winning pair going forward to Gainsborough in the Ping Final. 10 pairs played with Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk winning with 44 stableford points, the runners up were Lady Captain Kath Yates and Ann Gullick with 39 points.
Monday 3rd July
The Boston Ladies league team in Division 4 South, played their return match away against Woodhall Spa after their previous win at home it was always going to be a tough draw on the Hotchkin course at Woodhall, the Boston team excelled themselves with a great result winning 3 and 1 now assured of moving to Division 3 with one match left to play.
Wednesday 21st June - Australian Spoons
The Australian Spoons a stableford Foursomes Qualifier played in extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions resulted in Lady Captain Kath Yates with partner Pat Couture winning with 33 stableford points, second place with 32 points were Anne Wallhead and Hilary Calvert. The winning pair get the chance to play in the next round at Newcastle under Lyme GC. in Staffordshire.
Monday 19th June
The league team played against Lincoln at home, on this occasion the visiting team won all four matches.
Wednesday 14th June - Ladies Invitation Day
The Ladies held their Invitation Day and the format a pairs betterball :- the guests were treated to a two course carvery after play and before prize giving, £72 was raised from the raffle.
The Winning Pair were Yvonne Wright and Guest Pam Shepherd with 40 stableford points, second with 39 points were Barbara Unwin and guest Alice Sykes, Kath Yates and Guest Jenny Geeson won the best front nine with 23 points and Ann Gullick with her guest Val Richards won the best back nine with 19 points. Yvonne Wright won nearest the pin on the 5th hole and Alice Sykes won nearest the pin on the 14th hole. no twos were recorded.

26 Ladies played hoping to take home the 'June Frankish Granny Trophy' the format a stableford full handicap with an extra Stableford for those not eligible to win the Granny Trophy..
The Trophy was won by Anne Wallhead with 33 stableford pts. retaining her title from last year, 2nd place went to Joan Young on a countback with 31 pts, pushing Jean Markham into 3rd position also 31 pts. Lady Captain Kath Yates was 4th with 29 pts. on countback.

A friendly match away at Boston West resulted in Boston Golf Club ladies winning 2 1/2 to 11/2 .
While at home only 7 ladies were left to play in the Wednesday competition with many ladies playing around Lincolnshire.
The team of Jean Markham, Ann Wallhead, Hilary Calvert (Boston) with Kate Hall-Jones (Woodhall Spa) were 4th in the Newark AM/AM.
Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk came 3rd in The Greetham Valley pairs betterball with 41 stableford points.

Two matches a friendly in the morning against Louth with Boston Ladies Losing 31/2 to 1/2
The afternoon's competition turned out quite different with Boston Ladies playing host to
Woodhall at Home in the South Lincs League, winning all four matches.

The Past Captains Cup was the prize for the winner today, a singles medal format with Marion Bavin coming in with 77 nett. to take the trophy, Pam King came in second with 78 nett. An extra medal was played alongside the Cup Competition for those not eligible to win the trophy: Jacquie Short won the extra medal competition with 71 nett.
Monday 1st May
12 pairs took part in the "Maple Trophy" Bank Holiday mixed Betterball; the winning pair Jacquie and Ken Short are seen in the photograph with their trophies coming in with a fantastic score of 41 stableford points; second on count back were Pam and Malcolm Hyde with 39 pts. pushing Jane and Brian Marriott into third also 39 pts. a carvery was served after play.

Boston Ladies league team won at home against Sleaford 3 and 1.
Thursday 27th April
A friendly match at home against Kenwick in extreme weather conditions resulted in the matches being cut to 10 holes at the request of both Lady Captains, the Boston Ladies losing 1.5 to 2.5.
Wednesday 26th April
6 teams turned out to play in the Stableford, (traffic lights) playing off red , yellow and white tees consecutively with two scoring on each hole. The weather worsened with hail stones covering the greens making play difficult it was decided to shorten the game to 10 holes.
The winning team were Ann Gullick, Yvonne Wright and Ann Hodgson with 41 stableford points.
In second place were Di Lincoln, Maureen Molson and Kathy Stanley with 38 points.
Monday 24th April The Lincolnshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association held their Spring Meeting at Boston Golf Club, 115 ladies took part in the event from around the County.
The format a pairs betterball was won by Ruth Atkins and Avril Norton from Spalding with 44 Stableford points, winning the Chaplin Trophy. Wednesday a warm sunny day saw 24 ladies turning out in hope of winning the Coney Cup a Stableford format :-
Winning with 37 Stableford pts. and taking home the trophy was Joan Young shown in the photograph with the trophy, in second place Yvonne Shaffarczyk with 35 pts. third was Yvonne Wright with 34 pts and 4th on a countback Lady Captain Kath Yates with 33 pts.
Lady Captain versus Lady President - 12th April
With 8 teams either side playing match play.
It is now an annual event match play with the proceeds of the competition fees donations and raffle going to "Breast Cancer Now" the Ladies wearing their pink attire in keeping with the charity won for Lady Captain Kath Yates this Year with her team winning 5 and 3 against Lady President Jane Bratley's team. £ 138 will be sent to the Charity.

A friendly match against Sutton Bridge was held at Home with Boston Ladies winning all matches.
Wednesday 5th April - Cheer Cup

There were 22 Ladies playing for the Cheer Cup in ideal conditions, Competition Scratch Score, the results were:-
Ruth Simpson winner of the Cheer Cup with her score of 85-10= 75 nett. Lowest Gross Score and winner overall.
In second place Pam Hyde 92-17= 75 nett. just missing out on a countback.
Third position went to Joan Young 100-23= 77 nett.
The 9 hole singles stableford was won by Gill Reynolds and the runner up Gloria Tryner.
Monday 3rd April - Spring Scramble
On Monday the Ladies Section combined with the 11 o`clockers to field 11 mixed teams for a Texas Scramble. All players were blessed with a lovely spring day to compete in a wonderful atmosphere which ended with everyone enjoying a lunch and drinks in the clubhouse.

4 teams of eight pairs played in a switch competition Combining handicaps and receiving half of those for their handicap... Each player driving, switching shots then taking the best of the two, from then on with one ball in play taking alternate shots to the hole.
The winners were Ann Gullick with Lady Captain Kath Yates with 36 Stableford points.
second place with 34 points went to Lynn Worthington and Liz Harris.
22nd March - Jan Miller Trophy
16 Ladies battled on through cold winds and icy rain in hope of winning the Jan Miller Trophy. The competition a singles Stableford with full allowance.
The winner today was Jacquie Short with 35 pts. runner up with 34 pts. was Joan Young and in third place Ruth Simpson with 33 pts.

16th March Ladies Spring Waltz
Thursday 16th March Boston Ladies held their Spring Waltz AM/AM 16 teams of 4 playing from around the County.
The winning Foursome with a fantastic score of 82 stableford pts. were the home team of
P. Hyde, J. Markham, A. Hodgson and R. Simpson.
In second place with 79 pts were A. Cordery, S. Pawson, J. Ross and A. Fray (Elton Furze)
Third place with 78 pts. from Seacroft and Market Rasen were C. Welfare, J. Emmerson, L. Emmerson and S. Mowbray.
The fourth placed team with 76 pts. were H. Calvert, A. Wallhead, C, Ireland and J. Heyward from Boston/Woodhall and Blankney.
A prize for the best Visiting Team not in the main Prizes went to S. Churchill, A. Fenson, K. Hircock and J. Devlin with 75 pts. from Burghley.
15th March Arizona Shuffle
Today 15th March 8 teams of 3 played an Arizona shuffle in glorious sunshine with full handicap allowance, 2 counting on par 4s all 3 counting on par 3s and 1 on par 5s. .
The third placing went to Lady Captain (Kath Yates) Ann Gullick and Pam Bett with 61 stableford pts.
Second with 63 pts were Ruth Simpson, Yvonne Shaffarczck and Lynn Worthington.
The winners with 68 pts. were Jean Markham, Kathy Stanley and Maureen Molson.

The first round of the Daily Mail foursomes was played at home against Spalding last week our representatives Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczck won 4 and 3 they await to see who they play next.
Ladies and Seniors Am Am - 8th March
Today The Senior Men and Ladies Section of Boston Golf Club played together in teams of 4 to start off our golf season:- 11 teams made up of 2 ladies and 2 men playing a Texas Scramble, The winning team Ray Smith, Dave Hodgson, Yvonne Wright and Pam King came in with 54.5 the runners up were Malcolm Hyde, Fred Calvert, Ruth Simpson and Kay Kadzionis with 54.6 , the day was made more enjoyable with half way refreshments and on completion sausage and mash..
1st March - Ladies Nora Royle Tophy
18 Ladies turned out to play today with ten playing for the Nora Royle over 60s Trophy; the first 18 hole medal competition of the season, which unfortunately was reduced to a non qualifying round as two holes were deemed unfit for play.
The winner today over 16 holes with 67 nett was Lady Captain (Kathleen Yates) seen receiving her trophy from Jean Markham, The runner up Yvonne Shaffarczyk scoring 62 nett was not eligible to claim the trophy.

19 Ladies battled against the strong winds today out in teams of three playing a Military two-step over 10 holes. 1 and 2 to count on consecutive holes.
The winners, a four ball with an adjustment to play came in with 29 stableford pts. They were Chris Sherriff, Ruth Street, Lynn Worthington and Jean Markham. The runners up were Liz Harris, Pam Bett, and Di Lincoln with 24 pts.

The last game before Christmas had to be a bring and win, Christmas jumpers fancy dress and hats this year the ladies went out in 3s, with 2 counting on each hole, Santa decided to give an extra shot to the players for each hole.. The winning threesome over 10 holes were Joan Young, Fran Grant and Janet Read.. scoring 65 pts. Giving them first choice of presents. Wednesday 16 ladies turned out for the Christmas Turkey Trot, an individual stableford format played over 10 holes.

The Wednesday's roll up was played over 10 holes and 3 teams went out playing 3 to score 2 to score and 1 to score in stableford format.

The Boston Shuffle 16th November 2016
This week 6 teams of three played the Boston Shuffle with a full handicap allowance stableford over 10 holes; two counting on par 4s. one on par 5s. and all three counting on par 3s.
Winning with a handsome margin were Jane Marriott, Ann Gullick and Yvonne Wright returning 41pts. The runners up were Hilary Calvert, Margaret Hardy and Jane Bratley with 36 pts.
Jean Markham and Pam King played against Maureen Molson and Kathy Stanley in the Kathleen Bradley Winter Knockout, Jean and Pam won the match on the 16th hole taking them through to the semi final.
Ted Eaglen Trophy - 9th November 2016
The report today was disappointing in the fact that so many of the ladies down to play listened to the weather forecast and decided not to go out, leaving only a small field for The Ladies Ted Eaglen Trophy; this will be played for each year; near to armistice in Memory of Ted a member of Boston Golf Club for many years, he was known and loved by all who were fortunate to have known him.
The trophy winner was Jean Markham with 28pts. The runner up with 24pts. was Pam Hyde.

Thursday 3rd November - Winter Waltz
19 teams from around the county played in the Winter Waltz am/am with a welcoming mug of hot soup at the half way house and on finishing a hot carvery.

The ladies held their first roll up of the winter season playing over 10 holes, teams of three playing a pink ball with one other to score. the winning threesome, Pam Hyde, Pam Bett and Jean Markham came in with 41 pts. The runners up Barbara Unwin, Lynn Worthington and Chris Sherriff returned a score of 34 pts.

Chris Needham and Ann Hodgson played against Joan Young and Jacquie Short in the Kath Bradley Winter Knockout . Chris Needham and Ann Hodgson beat Joan and Jacquie taking them through to the Semi final.
Monday 31st October
The Ladies joined the 11 o`clockers in a 3 Texas Scramble with 12 teams of 3 consisting of 1 lady and 2 men in each one. Titled as a Spooky Halloween Match each team was given an appropriate themed name just for fun. Great weather really added to the event which was played in a great spirit and ended with a lovely lunch and final presentation. The event was such a success that we are looking to get it into the diary as an annual event.

Wednesday 26th October
The Ladies played a stableford AM/AM with full handicap allowance in teams of 4 with 2 scoring on 16 holes and all 4 on the 10th and 18th hole. The winning team of Chris Needham, Janet Read, Jean Markham and Barbara Unwin came in with 82 Stableford pts. The runners up were Yvonne Wright, Chris Sherriff, Pam Bett and Jane Marriott with 75 pts.
Pam Hyde and Ruth Simpson played their winter Knockout against Yvonne Shaffarczyk and Fran Grant with Pam and Ruth winning to go forward to the next round.
Wednesday 19th October
8 teams of 3 played a reverse waltz stableford competition with full handicaps.
The winning team with 72 pts were Anne Hodgson Ann Gullick and Jacquie Short.
2nd Lady Captain Kath Yates, Ruth Street and Pam Bett with 68 Pts.
After the competition the presentation took place
of last years Lady Captain Anne Wallhead's charity cheque for £1,264 to an Air Ambulance representative.
The Ladies section played for the Coney Cup a Full handicap Stableford Competition, the heavy downpours did nothing to help those battling on to the end. The winner Jacquie Short returned a score of 33 pts. Ruth Simpson 2nd just losing out on Countback also 33 pts. Yvonne Shaffarczyk 32pts placed third on a countback from Jean Markham also 32 pts.
Sunday 9th October - The Morley Trophy
Sunday Mixed teams played a foursomes medal for the Morley Trophy:- seen in the photograph are Pam Hyde and Malcolm Hyde winning with 72 nett. Runners up were Lady Captain Kath Yates and Seniors Captain Ray Smith with 75 nett. Third on a countback were Anne Wallhead and Terry Rollinson 76 nett. with Martin and Yvonne Shaffarczyk also 76 nett.
Wednesday 5th October
The Lady Captain took on the Lady Vice Captain in a match play competition with members drawn and allocated to their respective teams. 12 pairs, six teams played in the October sunshine Lady Vice Captain's team winning 3 1/2 to 2 1/2.
Tuesday 4th October
The New Lady Captain (Kath Yates) teamed up with the Seniors Captain (Ray Smith) with 9 teams of 2 ladies and 2 men playing an Am/Am best lady best gentleman to score on 18 holes.

The half way house proved very popular serving Tea, coffee, cold drinks and delicious home made scones. The day was finished off with a welcome meal of Sausage and mash.

Boston Ladies played the Daily Mail Foursomes a knockout stroke play competition with the best pair going forward to the next round the venue has not yet been confirmed.
The winners for Boston were Yvonne Shaffarczyk and Ruth Simpson with 80.5 the runners up were Ann Hodgson and Barbara Unwin with 76.5.

There were 8 teams playing a Texas scramble over 10 holes prior to the Ladies AGM and in 2nd place with 33.2 was the incoming Captain, Kath Yates with Ann Gullick, Pam King and Lynn Worthington, The winning team with 32.8 was Lady Captain, Anne Wallhead, Jean Markham, Hilary Calvert and Pam Hyde.

This week it was Yvonne Shaffarczyk once again! scoring a fantastic score of 41 stableford pts. A very worthy winner to take home the Read Trophy she also drops 2 shots and will now be playing off a new handicap of 18.
In second place with 32 pts. was Joan Young and 3rd on countback Ann Hodgson with 31pts. The nine hole competition was won by Ruth Street with 14 pts. with Jean Flynn runner up on 11 pts.

The Ladies Club Championship - 31st August 2016
The Ladies Club Championship was held over 36 holes. The photo shows the prize winners, Left to right Yvonne Shaffarczyk, Lady Captain Anne Wallhead Lois Williamson and Ruth Simpson.
The Ladies Club Champion and winner of the Shirley Greswell Trophy was won by Lois Williamson with best gross. 77-75=152.

The winner of the Ann Hodgson Vase with 70-77=147 nett. was won by Yvonne Shaffarczyk.
An extra stableford was held for those not wanting to play 36 holes.

Bank holiday Monday ( 29th August 2016)
7 teams consisting of 2 ladies and 2 men turned out for a mixed AM/AM.
The winning team returning a score of 92 with one lady and one man scoring on each hole was Lynn and Dave Worthington with Jacquie and Ken Short.
Second place went to Anne Wallhead and Terry Rollinson with Hilary Calvert and Lee Francis scoring 86.
Wednesday 24th The Nora Royle Trophy
16 players set out on one of the hottest days of the year in the hope of lifting this cup. Nora Royle a very keen golfer preferred a medal competition and with the presentation of her trophy for the over 60s tea and cakes became a tradition and to this day is a welcome consolation for most players.
In first place with a medal score of 89-19= 70 nett. was Jacqui Short.
2nd place Margaret Hardy with 98-24= 74 nett.
3rd place Pat Couture with 95-20=75 nett.

Wednesday 17th August - Bothamley Bowl
Twenty two ladies turned out to play for the Bothamley Bowl which saw the winner, Lynn Worthington having to play off an adjusted handicap of 30 scoring 37 stableford points. Lynn drops her handicap to 31 . In 2nd place Judith Flevill returned a score of 36 points and 3rd position went to Pam King with 35 points beating Yvonne Shaffarczyk on count back who finished 4th.
Monday 15th August
A friendly match was held at home against Spalding with a disappointing result for Boston, Spalding went home with a win of 3 and 1.
Wednesday 10th August
A pairs betterball was played with both to count on all of the par threes, ending with a brilliant score of 52 stableford pts. was the pairing of Yvonne Shaffarczyk with Ruth Simpson to take first prize, in second place Lady Captain Anne Wallhead with Hilary Calvert finishing with 47 pts.
Wednesday 27th July - Australian Spoons
A qualifier for the Australian Spoons a stableford foursomes with 1/2 combined handicaps took place with the pair returning the best score to be entered into the regional final.
The winning pair were Jean Markham and Pam Hyde with 36 stableford points.
Monday 25th July
The last ladies league game was played at Boston against Burghley Park and the host team was able to finish with a win for Boston 2 1/2 and 1 1/2.
Lady Presidents Afternoon 24th July 2016
Playing a full handicap stableford format the Boston Ladies set out in perfect conditions hoping to be the one to win the President Tray.
Prizes for all sections were included and the prize winners were:-

PING 4BBB Qualifier - 5th July
This week the ladies played on Tuesday 5th as the Seniors held their open day on Wednesday 6th.
The Ladies played in the Ping 4BBB qualifier, a pairs betterball 18 hole stableford event.
The winning pair with 40 pts were Ruth Simpson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk.
Second were Pam Hyde and Jean Markham with 39 pts.
The winners will be put forward for the Ping 4BBB final in September at Gainsborough.
Thursday 30th June Ladies versus Belton Park
The Ladies League team travelled to Belton Park for the return match on Thursday 30th and came home with the match being halved 2 and 2.

Our Golf report this week comes from Gainsborough Golf Club! Boston Ladies held their Lady Captains Golf away day there yesterday..

What started as an optimistic outlook on the weather forecast soon proved to be quite the opposite, with constant heavy rain and the putting greens becoming more like lakes it was decided after nine holes to abandon play with team scores being decided over the nine, not in the least despondent the ladies settled in at the halfway house enjoying Pimms with nibbles supplied by Lady Captain Anne Wallhead before their evening meal.
The winning team were Jean Markham, Chris Sherriff and Lynn Worthington with 37 stableford pts.
second place with 29 pts were Pam Hyde, Chris Needham and Pam Bett.
third on a countback Ann Hodgson, Ann Gullick and Liz Harris with 26pts.

The Ladies played Belton Park in a league match on Friday at Boston and the match ended in a 2 -2 draw.
Wednesday 22nd June - Jan Miller Trophy
24 Ladies turned out for the "Jan Miller Trophy" and played a singles stableford competition.
The picture is of the winner Hilary Calvert being presented with the trophy by Lady Captain Anne Wallhead.
Hilary Calvert came in as the overall winner with 36 stableford points taking home the trophy, she also drops her handicap to 19.

The planned Bronze Match against Woodhall Spa was postponed due to bad weather conditions.
Ladies Invitation Day - 15th June 2016
On Wednesday the ladies of Boston teed up with their guests from other golf clubs for invitation day.
A slight holdup with the inclement weather wasn't going to dampen the spirits of those playing, the format a full handicap pairs betterball.
Winning with 40 stableford points on a countback were Yvonne Shaffarczyk with her partner Claire Rylott (Spalding).
Second also 40 pts. Kath Yates with Jo Burden (Woodhall)
Third with 39 pts. Yvonne Wright with partner Pam Shepherd (Louth)
Best Front nine not in main prizes, Lynn Worthington with Partner Chris Bishop (Sudbrook Moor) 20 pts
Best Back nine, Ann Gullick with guest Chelsea Petty (Tydd St Giles) 19 pts.
Nearest the Pin for the home player on the 5th was won by Judith Flevill, Nearest the Pin for Guests on the 14th was won by Claire Rylott. Yvonne Shaffarczyk took the prize for the only two scored.

The June Frankish Trophy - 8th June 2016
Today 20 Ladies turned out for the June Frankish Trophy 16 ladies eligible to compete for what is known affectionately as the Granny Trophy - plus extra stableford.
It was significantly poignant for Barry Frankish to present the trophy to the winner June sadly passed away recently after a long illness and on this one occasion along with the Annual trophy a tray was also presented to the winner in remembrance.
The winner was Anne Wallhead with 35 stableford points also winning the stableford.
Ruth Simpson with 33 points was overall runner up in the extra stableford competition, not eligible for the granny trophy
Pam Bett took second place in the June Frankish Trophy competition, finishing third overall.
Pam also recorded a two in the twos competition.
Wednesday 01/06/16 Ladies Open Am Am
20 Teams from around the county turned out for the ladies AM/AM, torrential rain made play impossible and a decision was made to postpone the event until 21st September. Luckily a warm meal was on hand and helped to save the day so all was not lost.
The Jean Howes Trophy- Sunday 30th May was played for on Bank Holiday Monday, teams of Mixed couples playing a Greensomes stableford competition had almost perfect weather for the event! Newcomers Neil Gott with his partner Rexine Burton took home the trophy with a score of 37 pts. The picture shows Lady Captain Anne Wallhead presenting the trophy.
2nd place going to Ed and Jean Markham with 36 pts.
In 3rd place Ann and David Hodgson 32pts.
4th Chris and Dick Needham also 32 points losing on countback.

Wednesday 25the May
21 ladies started out but only 16 finished due to the weather conditions! The Format of the Ladies Flag Competition was singles Stroke Play with full handicap allowance.
The Winner of the Flag Competition with her Flag being placed 22 inches from the eighteenth hole was Yvonne Shaffarczyk with a medal score of 95-22=73 nett. dropping her handicap from 22 to 21.4 - (21) Taking 1st place in the Medal Qualifier
Ruth Simpson came in second with her flag just in front of the pond on the eighteenth.. her score 85-08=76 nett was also the lowest Gross.
Pam King and Jean Markham finished with their flags in the 17th hole.
Jean Markham took third in the medal qualifier with 92-15=77 nett.

The Peugeot Coronation Foursomes, 11 pairs of Ladies playing off 1/2 combined handicaps taking alternative shots, the winners of this qualifying round hope to progress to one of the 16 Area Finals, the finalists of these will meet to play at St. Andrews in September.
The Winning pair was Yvonne Wright and Ann Hodgson.
Runners Up Fran Grant and Yvonne Shaffarczyk, beating Pam Hyde and Jean Markham on countback.
Ladies Dunhill Island Trophy Competition. 15th May
The photograph shows Lady Captain Anne Wallhead presenting the trophy to Pam Hyde who with 40 stableford points and playing off 17 was the clear winner 6pts ahead of second place Hilary Calvert with 34pts.

Boston were well represented in Boston West's AM/AM 'Riding for Disabled'
A Spalding team took first prize with 84 pts.
2nd were Kath Yates, Ruth Simpson, Jenny Geeson and Lynn Worthington also with 84pts losing out on countback.
4th Hilary Calvert, Kate Hall- Jones, Anne Wallhead and Yvonne Shaffarczyk with 81pts.
Ruth Simpson won prizes for Nearest the pin Silver, Nearest Pin in 2 on the 17th hole and the Longest Drive, Silver.
Tuesday 10th May
Five teams from Boston played in continuous rain at Newark's Ladies AM/AM.
Three teams from Boston picked up prizes,
3rd Chris Sherriff, Barbara Unwin, Marita Jordan and Di Lincoln with 78 pts.
5th on a countback Jean Markham, Anne Wallhead, Hilary Calvert with Kate Hall-Jones from Woodhall - 74pts.
6th also with 74pts were Ruth Simpson, Joan Young, Yvonne Shaffarczyk and Jacquie Short.
Wednesday 27th April
Traffic Lights was the format for the days play with 10 teams of three ladies playing off full handicaps scoring stableford points with two scoring on each hole. The Ladies had a different view of the golf course especially when teeing off from the white tees. two holes were cut out due to the hail showers.
The winning threesome were Lady Captain Anne Wallhead, Hilary Calvert and Yvonne Wright with 62 pts.
Second losing out on a countback were Pam Bett, Ann Gullick and Kath Yates also 62 pts.
Third Place on countback were Lynn Brown, Pat Couture and Janet Reid 58 pts.

Boston Ladies hosted a team from South Kyme a friendly match consisting of mixed handicap players. The Boston ladies won all of the four matches.
Monday 25th April
The L.V.L.G.A held their Spring meeting at Grimsby Golf Club, 70 pairs playing better ball, Boston Ladies were well presented and the pairing of Hilary Calvert and Anne Wallhead came in with 36 stableford points to take 4th position.
Wednesday 20th April
The ladies competition this week was a singles stableford playing to go forward to The England Golf Trust Stableford Competition, combining the scores of the best silver and bronze players.
Chris Sherriff "Bronze" won the overall competition with 35 pts.
Anne Hodgson "Silver" second with 34 pts. Their combined scores will be put forward for selection.
Pam King came in third with 33 pts.
Ruth Simpson 32 pts.
The nine hole competition was won by Gloria Tryner.
Pam Hyde won the twos competition scoring a two on the 5th Hole.

A team of ladies went over to Louth which is always a challenging course and on this occasion they lost all four matches to the host club.

13th April The Ladies Day Competition (The Pink Day for The Breast Cancer Charity)
Lady President Jane Bratley's Team against Lady Captain Anne Wallhead's Team.
In match play format the players were out to win for their allotted teams, dressed out in mostly pink attire for this worthy charity, the yearly competition is now known as our Charity Pink Day. A raffle was held and donations given, glorious sunshine brought out the smiles and though the Lady President's team lost the match, with scrumptious cakes to look forward to no one seemed at all bothered, the winners were of course the Charity who will get £212.

This week 22 Ladies set out hoping to win the Cheer Cup, a singles stroke play competition format with full handicap allowance.
Winning the trophy Jean Markham came in to the club house with 75 nett, also lowest gross and the only one to get a two in the two's competition.

16 teams of ladies from around the county played in the St Patrick's Day Waltz.
Winning with 82 pts Hilary Calvert, Anne Wallhead, Ruth Simpson (Boston) with Cindy Ireland (Woodhall)
A team from Canwick Park took 2nd place on a countback with 81 pts. Sandy Rawlins, Margaret Hope, Sue Smith and Sue Brown, pushing Anne Edwards, Cherry Harpham, Julie Lambert and Georgia Sly from Thorney Lakes into third also 81pts.
Also from Thorney Lakes, Ruth Rickett, Maureen McKenna, Dianne Willis and Tina Alcock came in 4th with a score of 79 pts.
The best away team not in the main prizes went to Sue Churchill, Anne Fensome, Mary Sharp and Kay Hircock (Burghley Park).

21 Ladies set out armed with only two clubs and a putter pondering over why they take 14 normally!
Winning with 31 stableford points was Ann Hodgson 2 pts ahead of second place Anne Wallhead with 29pts and Pat Couture 3rd also 29pts losing on countback.
The Winter eclectic prizes went to
Hilary Calvert who won the silver division with 64 nett.
Second in silver Ann Hodgson 66 nett.
Bronze - Jane Marriott with 73 nett.
2nd March 2016 - First Medal Round (18 Holes)
The first medal round took place and after only playing 10 holes over the Winter months 18 holes in very wintery conditions took its toll for some of us, not so Ruth Simpson, the overall winner with a score of 87-09=78.
2nd place Fran Grant> 99-17=82
3rd place going to Jean Markham> 98-16=82 .
Fran Grant won the 2s competition on the 14th hole.
24th February 2016 - The Boston Shuffle
25 ladies turned out for the last winter roll up playing The Boston Shuffle in glorious sunshine.
7 teams of three and one team of four played with an adjustment.
The winners with 45 stableford pts. were the fourball of Hilary Calvert, Ruth Simpson, Margaret Hardy and Jane Bratley.
Second place with 44 pts. were Pam King, Ann Gullick and Joan Young.
Third place going to Jean Markham Pat Couture and Maureen Molsom with 41pts..

18 ladies turned out for a "Rocking Roll Up" on a cold February morning.
6 teams of three played over 10 holes with 1 score counting on the first 4 holes with each player having to score at least once, 2 scoring on the next 4 holes and all three on the last 2 holes...
Winning with 38 stableford pts. were the team of Liz Harris, Ann Gullick and Jean Markham.
The runners up with 36 pts were Kath Yates, Barbara Unwin and Lynn Worthington..
The winter roll ups have been very well supported..

This week 8 teams of three set out with an allocated colour for each player, not until the ball was putted out did the player know which one of them would be scoring! The colour in the hole was random and meant either one, two or all three in the team had to score.
In first place were Barbara Unwin, Liz Harris and Jean Markham with 33 stableford pts.
In second place was Ruth Simpson, Ruth Street and Chris Sherriff with 32 pts.
Third with 31 pts. went to Pam King, Ann Hodgson and Kathy Stanley.

7 teams of 3 played a yellow ball stableford competition over 10 holes A, B and C playing the yellow ball consecutively, that player having to count plus one other.
Winning this week were Ruth Simpson, Yvonne Wright and Joan Young with 47 stableford pts.
In second place with 40 stableford pts were Jacquie Short, Jean Markham and Pat Clifton.
Third place Kath Yates, Chris Sherriff and Pam King 39 pts.

6 teams tok part in the competition playing over 10 holes.
The winning combination was Fran Grant, Vice Captain Kath Yates and Pat Clifton with a 36.9
Second place going to Ruth Street, Lynn Worthington and Liz Harris scoring 38.4
20th January 2016- The Boston Shuffle
Once the fog finally lifted 6 teams took part in the Boston Shuffle over ten holes with one scoring on the par 5s two on par 4s and all three on par 3s
The winning team was Jean Markham, Ann Gullick and Lynn Worthington with 41 stableford pts.
The second placed team with 37 pts were Jane Bratley, Margaret Hardy and Anne Wallhead.

On Wednesday the ladies started their New Year Roll Up with a reverse waltz played over 10 holes which resulted in a win for the team of Pam King, Pam Hyde and Ann Gullick with 41 stableford pts.
Second place, "Lady Captain" Anne Wallhead, Chris Sherriff and Fran Grant with 40 pts.
