At Boston Golf Club, there’s more than just great golf—there’s a community waiting for you. Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time, love a bit of friendly competition, or simply enjoy the social side of the game, you’ll find a section that fits you perfectly.

Men’s Section

Competitive, social, and everything in between

Our Men’s Section offers a fantastic balance of competition and camaraderie for golfers of all abilities.

Regular Sunday morning competitions from the white tees keep things lively, with a variety of formats throughout the year to keep every round fresh and enjoyable. During the winter months, the popular Winter League keeps the competitive spirit alive, alongside our well-attended Open AmAm events held on the first Friday of each month.

For those who enjoy a challenge, singles and pairs knockout competitions run throughout the season, leading up to the highlight of the year—our prestigious Club Championship, a 36-hole showdown played over a summer weekend.

If team golf is more your style, our A and B teams compete in inter-club matches both home and away, offering a great opportunity to represent the club. Junior members are always encouraged to get involved and be part of the action.

Ladies’ Section

Friendly, supportive, and wonderfully social

The Ladies’ Section is known for its welcoming atmosphere—perfect for making new friends while enjoying your golf.

Weekly competitions take place every Wednesday morning, with flexible tee times between 9:30am and 12:00pm. Whether you’re new to golf or new to the club, our Golf Buddy scheme helps you settle in quickly by pairing you with an experienced member who can guide you and introduce you to others.

We offer a mix of 9-hole and 18-hole competitions to suit all abilities, alongside knockout matchplay events for those who enjoy a bit of competitive edge. There are also opportunities to represent the club in inter-club matches across the county.

Throughout the year, our popular Ladies’ Open AmAm events provide a great chance to enjoy a day of golf with friends—both old and new.

Rabbits Section

Relaxed, social golf with a competitive twist

Designed for male members with a handicap of 16 and above, the Rabbits Section is all about enjoying the game in a friendly, inclusive environment.

With eight Saturday competitions during the season and 14 inter-club matches against local clubs, there are plenty of opportunities to play, improve, and socialise. Matches are played both home and away, giving you the chance to experience different courses while representing Boston Golf Club.

It’s the perfect way to build confidence, meet fellow members, and enjoy golf at your own pace.

Seniors’ Section

Active, welcoming, and always well attended

Open to male members aged 55 and over, the Seniors’ Section is one of the most vibrant parts of the club.

Tuesday mornings are at the heart of the section, bringing members together for both friendly rounds and organised competitions. Alongside this, there are singles and pairs knockouts, as well as an eclectic competition spanning different handicap groups.

The section also enjoys a busy calendar of inter-club matches, with 10 fixtures each season, plus standout events such as the hugely popular Seniors’ Open Day, attracting over 120 players, and the annual Away Day—a highlight that combines great golf with great company at another course.
