Club Sections at Boston Golf Club

At Boston Golf Club, we have a range of sections to suit all abilities and interests. Whether you’re new to the game, a regular competitor, or just looking to enjoy social golf, there’s something for everyone.

Men’s Section

Our Men’s Section offers a great mix of competitive and social golf for players of all levels.

We run Sunday morning competitions from the white tees, with a variety of formats throughout the year. In the winter, there’s a monthly Winter League, along with our popular Open AmAm competitions held on the first Friday of each month.

There are also singles and pairs knockout competitions, which you can qualify for through Sunday events. The highlight of the season is our Club Championship—a 36-hole competition played over a summer weekend.

For those who enjoy team golf, we have both A and B teams competing in inter-club matches, home and away. Juniors are always encouraged to get involved wherever possible.

Ladies’ Section

Our Ladies’ Section is friendly, welcoming, and a great way to meet other members.

Competitions take place every Wednesday morning, with tee times between 9:30am and 12:00pm. If you’re new to golf or new to the club, our Golf Buddy scheme is a great way to get started—pairing you with another member who can help you settle in and introduce you to others.

We run a mix of 9-hole and 18-hole competitions to suit all abilities, as well as knockout matchplay events. The ladies also take part in inter-club matches across the county.

Throughout the year, we host a number of Ladies’ Open AmAm events, giving you the chance to play with friends from other clubs.

Rabbits Section

The Rabbits Section is open to male members with a handicap of 16 and above, and is all about enjoyable, social competition.

There are eight Saturday competitions during the season, along with 14 friendly inter-club matches against clubs across the county, played both home and away.

It’s a great way to meet other members and represent the club in a relaxed setting.

Seniors’ Section

Our Seniors’ Section is open to male members aged 55 and over, and it’s one of the busiest parts of the club.

Tuesday mornings are when everyone gets together, whether for a friendly round or one of the regular competitions. We also run singles and pairs knockouts, as well as an eclectic competition across different handicap groups.

There are 10 inter-club matches each season, plus some popular events including our Seniors’ Open Day—which regularly attracts over 120 players—and our annual Away Day, where members visit another club for a great day of golf and good company.
